Thank you for your interest in Topshelf Border Terriers.  Joye & Tom Ford are located in Cincinnati, Ohio and have been showing and breeding Border Terriers for 10 years but have been 'into dogs' for 25+ years.

We are not a kennel.  All our dogs live with us in our home along.  Puppies are raised in our home and underfoot with a lot of human interaction and socialization.

We are proud members of the Border Terrier Club of America, Border Terrier Club of Central Ohio, Queen City Dog Training Club and Warren County Kennel Club.  Joye trains and shows her dogs in conformation, agility and Earthdog.   

Our dogs are family members first and we expect our puppies adopted from us to be treated the same way.  We encourage everyone to do their homework before you decide to add this hearty, active terrier to your life.  Although we think the Border Terrier is the best breed of dog there is, this breed is NOT for everyone or every family.  There are 'pros and cons' with each and every breed of dog.

We breed on a very limited basis and occassionally have puppies available and reservations are recommended. 

NOTE: All our pet home puppies are sold with limited AKC registration and a spay/neuter contract. NO EXCEPTIONS.   If there ever comes a time that you cannot care for your Border Terrier, IT MUST COME BACK TO US!  Because of these restrictions, the Border Terrier is relatively a healthy breed, it helps keep the puppies out of the hands of backyard breeders/puppy mills and keeps unwanted puppies and dogs out of the already overpopulated animal shelters.  

All show prospect puppies, co-ownership is required and a show contract signed.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
